I recently noticed that some of the users in our organization are adding their personal Gmail accounts to their managed mac devices. This could turn problematic soon. How do I stop the users in my organization from doing this?

Did you mean that the users are adding their personal Gmail accounts to the mail app, or are they trying to access the Gmail website?
I have seen both instances happening, so I would like to stop both.
As far as I know, we can block personal Gmail IDs from accessing the corporate network from the Google Admin Console for your organization. This document here will help you in navigating the Google Admin Console to block personal accounts.
But can we do something from Hexnode?
Hey @noah-blake , you can prevent users from adding Gmail accounts to the Mail app by using Hexnode UEM’s Blocklist/Allowlist feature. Navigate to macOS > Web Content Filtering > Blocklist/Allowlist in your policy and click Configure. Then, add https://accounts.google.com to the Blocklist Web URLs section and save the policy.
This works because when a user tries to add their Gmail ID, the necessary browser-based authentication window will be blocked, preventing the account from being added.
The answer provided by @leo_scott can be used in conjunction with the above method to provide comprehensive security.
Best Regards,
Elle Reed,
Hexnode UEM
This is great information. I think both the methods are useful in your case, @noah-blake .
Thank you, @leo_scott and @elle_reed for the answers. It worked!
