Hey everyone, we are setting up some enterprise VPP apps to be deployed under the Required Apps” policy. The devices were added via Apple Configurator and are all in Supervised mode. Before I push this out to the whole fleet, can anyone confirm if these will install silently without any user prompts? I’m trying to avoid having my users deal with any pop-ups.

Since your devices are Supervised and you are using VPP, the apps will install silently without any prompts. Users won’t be asked to sign in or authorize app installations in devices added via Automated Device Enrollment or those that are Supervised

@elle_reed , I just pushed the policy, and some devices are still asking for user prompts to sign into iTunes and “Update App.” Even though they are Supervisedit’s not staying silent. Any idea why?

@vance_j That’s unexpected. As long as the apps are assigned with VPP licenses and the devices are Supervised, the Required Apps policy should be handling those installations silently without user prompts appearing.

@elle_reed , I just added the apps to an Allowlist and pushed the policy and the issue is all resolved now. Everything is installing silently exactly like we needed!
