How is Fire OS different from Android? Is all the enrollment methods of Android same for the fire OS too?

Hey, Thanks for reaching out to us.

The enrollment method for Fire OS is the same as that of Android, except that the enrollment using G Suite, Zero-Touch Enrollment, Samsung Knox enrollment and Hexnode for Work app is not supported.

The Fire OS devices support the following enrollment methods:

  1. No authentication enrollment
  2. Email/SMS enrollment
  3. Self-enrollment
  4. QR Code enrollment
  5. ROM enrollment.

Check out our help doc on enrollment methods for more details and steps of enrollment.

Cheers!

Hey, Thanks for reaching out to us.

Fire OS supports almost every feature supported by Android, except few:

  • Hexnode for Work app is not supported.
  • The location mode should be set to High Accuracy for fetching the exact location of the device.
  • Wallpaper can be set only on certain Amazon devices.
  • All Amazon devices do not support Hexnode Kiosk Browser.
  • Kiosk Screensaver for Fire OS, allows only images to be set as a screensaver.
  • Digital Signage for Fire OS, supports only the streaming of images.
  • The restrictions Users can turn mobile data on/off, Users can choose preferred network type under Policies > Kiosk Settings >Android Kiosk Mode > Peripheral Settings > Network are device-specific.

Please check out our help doc on Fire OS for more info.

Cheers!
