Hey all, Quick question. We’ve got a bunch of Android devices running in kiosk mode, and we want them to automatically lock or power off during night hours instead of staying active all the time.

Hi,
Thanks for reaching out to Hexnode Connect.

The Peripheral Settings under Kiosk Lockdown can control things like keeping the screen on or preventing the display from timing out. But it doesn’t handle scheduled locking or powering off.

If your goal is to lock the device automatically at night, you can achieve this using Automation in Hexnode:

  • Go to Automate → New Automatin → Android
  • Choose the Lock Device action
  • Set the schedule for the specific time you want the devices to lock each night

Once configured, Hexnode will execute the Lock Device action according to your schedule.

If you need help setting up the automation or have more queries, feel free to reach out; happy to assist.

Best regards,
George
