I’m managing several device groups for our drivers who are constantly on the move. I need their locations updated in the portal at specific times throughout the day to sync with our shift changes, but right now I’m stuck manually triggering the Scan Device location action for each group one by one.
Since I have multiple groups to keep track of, it’s becoming a bit of a headache. Is there any way to just have this run automatically at certain times?

Hey, I think you can actually do this through the Automate tab.
I was in there the other day setting up an automation to Remote ring some of our warehouse tablets that keep going missing, and I’m pretty sure I saw Scan device location as one of the actions you can pick.
If it works like the other ones I’ve set up, you should be able to just create a new Automation, grab that scan action, and then under the schedule section, tell it to Repeat at a set schedule. You can just plug in the specific times you need it to fire off.
Since you’ve got a bunch of groups, I think you can just add them all into the Filters part so you don’t have to make a separate automation for each one. I’ll link the help page I used to figure out the automation feature, it should point you in the right direction:
