Is it possible to secure customer-facing tablets for retail environments?Solved

I think you can use the kiosk lockdown, it will make sure that only the apps you will approve will show up on the screen. But I’m not sure how hexnode do this.

Okay, that sounds like what we need. Does the kiosk lockdown work same way for both platforms or should we set them separately?

Using a Multi-App Kiosk is an ideal solution for retail displays as it ensures your devices remain dedicated to their intended purpose while providing a consistent brand experience. By locking the tablets into a specific set of applications, you significantly reduce the risk of tampering and unauthorized usage. 

To achieve this for your deployment, you can manage both platforms through the Hexnode UEM portal: 

• Create a Restricted Environment: Within the Policies tab, you can configure dedicated Multi-App Kiosk policies for both iOS and Android. These policies allow you to select your business-essential apps and define exactly how they appear on the device home screen.
• Maintain Professional Branding: Along with the kiosk restrictions, you can apply wallpaper policy to ensure your corporate identity is always visible. This transforms a standard tablet into a professional, customer-facing tool. 

Once these policies are associated with your devices, the tablets will automatically enter the restricted mode, providing a seamless and secure experience for both your customers and staff.
