Disable AI assisted chat in iTerm2Solved

Hello,

I have macOS devices enrolled in Hexnode UEM, and we are using iTerm2 instead of the default Terminal app (the domain is com.googlecode.iterm2). All devices currently have AI-assisted chat enabled, but due to security reasons, we want to disable AI assist in iTerm2. We have over 100 macOS devices, so we hope to achieve this via a script or configuration deployment from Hexnode. I have tried a few scripts and config profiles, but they didn’t produce the desired result. Does anyone know how this can be done?

Hi,

You can disable AI assisted chat in iTerm2 using a configuration profile. Save the following code as a .mobileconfig file and deploy it to your macOS devices via Hexnode’s Deploy Custom Configuration policy.

Once the policy is successfully applied, quit and reopen iTerm2, the AI-assisted features will be disabled.

Note: Replace REPLACE_WITH_UUID with actual UUIDs before deploying the profile.
