Hey folks, quick question. In System Settings on my Mac, I can see a bunch of notifications listed that I don’t even use. I can turn them off, but how do I delete them completely? I don’t want these random sites showing up there forever.

Ah, I’ve been there too! Those are website notification permissions stored by safari. Turning them off in system settings only disables alerts, but to delete them completely, you’ll need to clear them from safari itself.
Here’s how you can fix it:
- Open safari browser and go to its settings.
- Click on the websites section and select Notifications from the sidebar.
- You’ll see a list of sites that have asked for notification access. Pick the ones you don’t use and hit remove.
- If you never want websites asking for permission again, uncheck the box that says Allow websites to ask for permission to send notifications.
Once you remove them, they’ll vanish from System settings too. If a few stubborn ones stay back, go to safari’s Privacy tab, choose Manage Website Data, and remove those sites. Restart safari and you’re all set.
