I need to delete a technician account from our Hexnode portal because we no longer have access to it. Before deleting it, I want to make sure any policies linked to that technician account will stay in place. The delete prompt also mentions that reports created by the technician may disappear. Is there a way to check what reports they had set up before removing the account?
Will deleting a Hexnode technician remove associated policies or reports?Solved

Deleting a technician from Hexnode will not delete the policies associated with that technician. Existing policies will remain intact after the technician account is removed.
To delete the technician account:
- Go to Admin > Technician and Roles.
- Locate the technician you want to remove.
- Click the three-dot menu next to the technician.
- Select Delete Technician.
However, reports created by that technician may be removed. Before deleting the account, it is recommended to review the report-related sections in the portal.
When I check Reports > Exports, I don’t see anything listed. Does that mean no reports were exported at all, or does it only show exports from my own account?
Reports > Exports is a portal-wide view. It shows report export requests from all technicians, not just the currently signed-in technician. One important limitation is that this section only shows a rolling history of export requests from the last 24 hours. If there are no entries there, it only means there were no report export requests visible in that recent time window.
Before deleting the technician, also check:
- Reports > Custom Reports
- Reports > Scheduled Reports
These sections can help you identify report configurations that may have been created by the technician and decide whether anything needs to be recreated or noted before deletion.
That clears it up. So policies remain, but I should check Custom Reports and Scheduled Reports because Exports only shows the last 24 hours. That’s what I needed.
