What’s new in Hexnode for Android devices?

1. Clear passcode for Android 7+ devices enrolled in Android Enterprise.

Are you looking forward to clearing password remotely on Android 7+ devices? We got it covered in our latest update.

Previously, clear password action worked only for devices below Android 7. But now, it is also implemented for devices running Android 7 and above. However, do ensure that your devices are enrolled in the Android Enterprise program with Hexnode for Work app v7.6.9+.

Here is where you can find this.

  • Login to your Hexnode portal.
  • Navigate to Manage > Devices > Select the devices > Actions > Clear Password.

Have a look at Clear password to know more.

2. Set Wi-Fi security level for Samsung Knox devices.

With Hexnode, you can now set a minimum-security level and a network connection will be established only if the Wi-Fi network’s security level is above the set value.

You can configure this option under Policies > Android > Advanced Restrictions > Security Options > Minimum Wi-Fi security level.

If the device is connected to a Wi-Fi network with a lower security level, then it gets disconnected immediately from the current Wi-Fi. Learn more.

Cheers!
