    Our school’s iPads have been locked down to just one application. Would the Lockdown mode need to be exited to update that app?

    Hey Felix!

    You can silently update the application without exiting from Kiosk, if the devices are running iOS v11.2 and above. Otherwise the device must exit from kiosk mode or switch to multi app kiosk mode for updating the app.

    To update a Store app, 

    After logging into your Hexnode MDM Portal,
    1. Navigate to Apps tab > Click on the app which is to be updated.
    2. Click on the Settings drop down (gear icon) on the top-right corner of the app details box > Click on Check for updates.
    The app will get updated if an update is available, otherwise it will show that no updates are available.

    To update an In-House app, 

    You can either replace the old IPA with the new one in Hexnode app inventory OR push the new app version via Install Application action.
