Is it possible to send contacts to Android devices using hexnode?
Hi Feline,
Thanks for posting the question.
Hexnode MDM enables you to import contacts to a device and update the contacts whenever needed.
The contacts are exported from a device in the form of a VCF file and the contacts are imported to the device using this file.
Please follow the below steps for generating a VCF file:
1. Open the contacts app on the device and hit the menu button. A pop-up jumps up. Choose the export option.
2. Confirm the export command to initiate the export. A notification specifies the completion of the action. After exporting the contacts, move the VCF file to the system.
Importing the contacts to the device:
1.Login to the Hexnode portal
2. Go to Manage–>Users
3. Choose a device from the list of devices.
4. Go to Actions and select Import contacts to device.
5. Upload the VCF file generated and click on Import.
6. You can also delete the existing contacts before importing the newer ones by enabling the Delete existing contacts option.
The contacts will now be successfully imported to the target device.
