Hi @edmund,
For an actively communicating iPhone, you can remove Hexnode management without performing a factory reset by using the Disenroll Device action.
Go to Manage > select the device > Actions > Device Control > Disenroll Device. This removes the Hexnode MDM profile from the iPhone. The device will continue to function as a standalone device, and a factory reset is not required just to remove the MDM profile.
However, because the device was enrolled through Apple Business and is supervised, the supervised status may still appear on the device. This does not usually prevent normal personal use after disenrollment, but it means the device is still supervised at the Apple level.
To completely remove supervision, you would need to:
- Unassign the device from MDM in Apple Business.
- Factory reset the iPhone.
If the device remains assigned to an MDM server in Apple Business, it may be directed back to MDM enrollment during setup after a wipe.
