Password resets and 2FA are getting out of handSolved

Hey team, Hexnode. I’ve been using your service for over 5 years now and really appreciate the platform, but I wanted to share some feedback regarding the login requirements.

The mandatory password resets combined with the email 2FA are becoming a bit of a hurdle. Lately, if I need to log in to fix something quickly, I sometimes lose 10 minutes just trying to create a new password and confirming my access twice.

Is there any way to make the password resets optional rather than mandatory? We didn’t have these rigid restrictions in the beginning, and I feel like it slows down the workflow quite a bit. Any insight would be appreciated!

Hi @laura123. First off, thank you for being a customer for over 5 years! We really appreciate your loyalty and your honest feedback. I completely understand where you’re coming from. It is definitely frustrating to lose time to password resets and 2FA when you just need to jump in and handle a quick task.

To give you a little context on why this is happening: we are bound by our very strict  security policy. While we know that mandatory password rotations and email 2FA add extra steps to your day, they are required to maintain the highest level of protection for all admin portals.

I know it’s a hassle to manage, but these measures are specifically designed to prevent unauthorized access. Compromising on these login standards right now could open the door to much more severe security issues for your environment down the line.

We definitely hear your points, and I’ve passed your feedback directly to our product and security teams so they can evaluate how we might better balance rigorous security with a smoother admin experience in the future.

We really appreciate your patience as you adjust to these updated protocols!
