One of our supervised iPhones was stolen and it has not checked in for more than two weeks. I need to put it in Lost Mode from Hexnode, but I’m not sure if the action will work while the device is offline. Will the Lost Mode command still apply when the iPhone comes back online?

Hello @richard_hank ,

Yes. You can initiate Lost Mode for a supervised iPhone from the Hexnode UEM portal even if the device is currently offline.

To enable it:

  1. Go to Manage > Devices.
  2. Select the affected iPhone.
  3. Click Actions > Security > Enable Lost Mode.
  4. Enter the lock screen message, contact number, and footnote if required.
  5. Confirm the action.

If the iPhone is offline, the action will remain in Pending status in the device Action History. Hexnode UEM can deliver the Lost Mode command only after the iPhone powers on and reconnects to the internet through Wi-Fi or cellular data.

Once the command is delivered, the iPhone will be locked in Lost Mode.
