Freeing up space in the portalSolved

When I try to dis-enroll some devices, does that free up space in my account? The devices are broken / do not exist, so they will not respond to the dis-enrollment requests. My counts still seem to stay the same

Hey Howard! Each enrolled device counts as one license used.

You can reuse that license when you disenroll the device. However, initiating the disenrollement action doesn’t instantly free up that license,

the disenrollment command should reach the device and get the de-registration done at the device-end.

In case of devices broken or no longer in use, there’s no point in waiting around for it to happen at the device-end.

Instead, you can mark it as disenrolled right in the portal. Here is how it is done.
