Export local account users by Standard or Administrator role in Hexnode reportsSolved

Hi everyone. I need to export a list of logged-in/local users across all of our managed devices and specifically include whether each account is a Standard user or an Administrator.

I found the local account reports section, but I’m not exactly sure which export option gives the user role details for all devices. Also, I noticed a weird issue: when I tried selecting devices for export, the selected device count did not match the total number of devices shown in the list. What is the best way to get this full report?

Hello,

Thanks for reaching out to Hexnode Connect.

You can easily export local account details—including the user privilege levels (Standard or Administrator)—directly from the built-in reports.

Here is the quick workflow to get the exact data you need:

  1. Navigate to Reports > Built-in Reports > Local Accounts > All Accounts.
  2. Select the devices you wish to include using the checkboxes on the left.
  3. Click on the export option. The resulting file will include the local account information and the specific account privilege details for all the devices you selected.

Regarding the device selection count mismatch:

When you click the main checkbox at the top of the table, it only selects the devices listed on your current page. If your device list spans multiple pages, you will need to navigate through each page and select the devices there as well before hitting export. Alternatively, you can increase the number of rows displayed per page to make selecting large batches easier.

I hope this helps you generate the correct user role reports! If you find any more issues or need further assistance, feel free to reach out.
