Hi @yuudai,
Yes, you can absolutely enroll your in-use Lenovo Tab M8 and M10 devices without a factory reset by enrolling them as Generic Android devices.
However, because they are not enrolled in Android Enterprise as fully managed devices (which strictly requires a factory reset), there are some management limitations to keep in mind:
- Silent app installation is not supported. App deployments will prompt the user on the device and require manual interaction to approve and install.
- Advanced device management features and granular controls will be limited.
- Certain policy restrictions and remote management options will not function as they would on a fully managed device.
If your goal is basic management and visibility without disrupting the current users, Generic Android enrollment is a great fit. If you decide later that you need silent app installations and strict policy enforcement, you would need to factory reset the tablets and re-enroll them using Android Enterprise.
Please let me know if you have any questions about setting up the Generic Android enrollment process!
Best regards,
