Android Enterprise page blank after linking Google Workspace EMM in HexnodeSolved

After linking Hexnode as the Android Enterprise EMM with Google Workspace, the Android Enterprise page under Admin/Enroll stopped loading properly. The page was mostly blank and the enroll/QR code section did not appear. I had already joined the Android Enterprise program, and it worked before completing the Google Workspace EMM setup. Refreshing the page and reopening the browser did not help. Browser extensions were still enabled, but nothing had changed there.

This behavior can occur if the Android Enterprise details cannot be fetched from Google at the time the page loads. After Hexnode is linked as the EMM, the Android Enterprise page relies on Google API responses to display the enrollment options, including the QR code.

A few things to check when the page appears blank or remains in a loading state:

  1. Refresh the Android Enterprise page after a short interval.
  2. Try loading the portal in a private/incognito browser window to rule out cached browser data or extension interference.
  3. Temporarily disable browser extensions such as ad blockers or password managers if the page continues to fail.
  4. If the issue started immediately after linking Google Workspace as the EMM and resolves later without configuration changes, it may have been caused by a temporary Google API response failure.

In similar cases, the page failed because Google returned a temporary 502 Bad Gateway response while Hexnode was fetching Android Enterprise details. Once Google started returning a 200 OK response again, the QR code and enrollment options loaded normally.

That sounds like what happened here. I didn’t change anything in the browser, didn’t use incognito, and all extensions stayed enabled. I just stopped for the day, logged back in the next morning, and the Android Enterprise window loaded correctly with the QR code.

In that case, no additional changes are required in Hexnode if the page is now loading and the QR code is visible. The likely cause was a temporary failure while fetching Android Enterprise data from Google. If it happens again, retry after some time and also test in a clean browser session to rule out local browser caching or extension-related issues.
