Yes @v_collins. For Hexnode-managed iOS devices, you can control Personal Hotspot in two ways depending on what you want to enforce.

To prevent users from changing the Personal Hotspot setting:

1. Go to Policies in the Hexnode UEM portal.
2. Open the policy applied to the iOS kiosk devices.
3. Navigate to iOS > Advanced Restrictions.
4. Under Allow Device Functionality disable the option Disable Users can modify Personal Hotspot settings.
5. Save the policy and make sure it is associated with the target devices or device group.

This restriction prevents end users from modifying the Personal Hotspot configuration on the device.

So the restriction only blocks the user from changing the setting, right? If hotspot was already turned on before the policy reached the device, would it stay on?

Yes. The Advanced Restrictions option is intended to prevent modification of the Personal Hotspot setting by the user. If you need to actively turn off Personal Hotspot on a device, execute the Disable Personal Hotspot remote action from Manage > Actions > Network.

A practical setup would be:

• Apply the iOS Advanced Restrictions policy to stop users from changing Personal Hotspot settings.
• Run Disable Personal Hotspot on any device where hotspot is currently enabled.

This combination disables the active hotspot state and prevents users from enabling or modifying it again from the device.
