A managed iPad that was previously marked as lost has been found. It is running iOS 16 and is still checking in to Hexnode. What is the correct way to turn off Lost Mode from the Hexnode portal without wiping or erasing the iPad? I checked the Actions menu but initially only saw the option to enable Lost Mode again.

You can disable Lost Mode from the Hexnode portal without wiping the iPad, as long as the device is online and able to check in. Try the following:

  1. Go to Manage in the Hexnode portal.
  2. Select the affected iPad.
  3. Open the Actions dropdown.
  4. Under Security, choose Disable Lost Mode.

If Disable Lost Mode is not immediately visible in the Actions dropdown, use the search field inside the Actions menu and search for Disable Lost Mode. This should bring up the correct remote action even if the menu still appears to show Enable Lost Mode in the regular list. Once the command is sent and the iPad checks in, Lost Mode should be removed without erasing the device.
