Hey everyone,

Quick question, I pushed file deployment to a few devices, and now I need to stop it.
But I don’t see a “cancel” option anywhere.

Is there any way to cancel a file deployment once it’s already in progress?

Hey @aitana,

This depends completely on the task status. From my observations, if the deployment still shows Pending, you’re safe it hasn’t reached the device yet, and you can cancel it before it begins. But if the status says Initiated, then the payload has already been handed off to the device. At that point, the OS is the one in control, and Hexnode can’t pull it back. Kind of like sending a text message and realizing the typo one second too late.

Yep, that’s pretty much it.
Once the status flips to Initiated, the device is already processing the deployment, and the MDM can’t interfere anymore. Your best bet in those cases is to wait it out or push a follow-up action after the file lands. But yeah, no “undo” button once the device has started handling it.
