I need to block a few TCP ports on Windows 11 devices, specifically ports like 5040/TCP, 7939/TCP, and 41380/TCP. I could not find a dedicated Hexnode policy setting for blocking individual ports. Can this be done directly from Hexnode, or do I need to configure it somewhere else?

Hello @penelope ,

Hexnode UEM does not currently provide a native policy setting to block specific network ports directly from the portal.

Port blocking is usually handled in one of these ways:

  • Configure the restriction at the network firewall level. This is the recommended approach if the ports must be blocked across the entire network.
  • Configure local firewall rules on the Windows endpoints. If you already have a tested PowerShell script or firewall command to block the required ports, you can deploy it to enrolled Windows devices using Hexnode UEM.

To deploy a script from Hexnode:

Go to Manage > Endpoints > select the Windows devices > Actions > Deployments > Execute Custom Script.

The devices must be enrolled and checking in with Hexnode for the script execution command to reach them.
