Hello,
Thanks for reaching out to Hexnode Connect.
Rest assured, you aren’t missing any configuration steps within Hexnode! This specific error occurs on Apple’s side. When you receive the “cannot create an account at this moment” message—especially when trying multiple valid email addresses—it almost always indicates a temporary service availability issue with Apple’s account creation servers, rather than a problem with your enrollment setup.
Here is the best approach to get past this:
- Retry later: Simply wait a short while and attempt the Apple account setup flow again. The issue usually resolves itself on Apple’s end.
- Complete the setup: Once Apple’s services allow the account creation to proceed, follow the standard prompts to generate your APNs certificate and upload it back into the Hexnode portal.
- Document your credentials: This is crucial—please keep a secure record of the exact Apple ID used to generate this certificate. You will be required to use this identical Apple ID to renew your APNs certificate every year.
Once your certificate is successfully uploaded to Hexnode, you will be fully ready to proceed with your iPad enrollments.
I hope this helps get your deployment back on track! Feel free to reach out if you have any more doubts or need further assistance.
Best regards,
George,
Hexnode UEM
