i previously blocked iCloud on a managed ios device through hexnode, and now I need to add it back. The device still does not let me add the icloud account from settings. Is there a specific policy setting I should check to re-enable access?

Hi @porter,

If the device is preventing you from adding an iCloud account locally, it is highly likely that the Modify account restriction is still enforced by one of your policies. When this restriction is disabled, users cannot add or modify accounts from the device settings.

To check and resolve this, you can locate the restriction by following these steps:

  1. Go to Manage > Devices.
  2. Select the affected iOS device and open the Policies sub-tab.
  3. Review each applied policy by navigating to iOS > Advanced Restrictions.
  4. Check whether Modify account is disabled.

Once you identify the policy enforcing this rule, you can allow iCloud to be added again:

  1. Open the policy in Hexnode UEM.
  2. Click Manage > Modify.
  3. Enable Modify account under Advanced Restrictions.
  4. Save the policy and wait for it to sync with the device.

Please note that enabling this restriction does not automatically push the iCloud account back to the device. Hexnode only controls whether account modification is permitted, so you will need to open the iOS device settings and sign in to the iCloud account directly on the device once the policy updates.

Please let us know if you are able to sign in successfully after the policy syncs!

I checked the applied policies and found modify account was indeed disabled in one of them.
Appreciate it, working fine now.
