We use Hexnode UEM Enterprise and want to make sure Android phones and iPhones can be encrypted under this plan. I found conflicting information elsewhere suggesting a higher plan might be needed, but I couldn’t confirm that in the plan comparison.
Also, once a passcode policy is applied, is there a place in Hexnode where the device shows as encrypted, or is it only shown through compliance status?

Hexnode Enterprise supports encryption-related controls for both iOS and Android devices.
For iOS devices, encryption is tied to the device passcode. When a passcode policy is applied and the user sets a passcode, iOS enables data protection for the device.
For Android devices, encryption can be enforced through Hexnode’s passcode and security policy controls, depending on the Android management mode and device capabilities.
These encryption-related policy options are available from the Pro plan onward, so they are included in the Enterprise plan.

That helps. So if we push a passcode policy to both platforms, we don’t need Ultra just for encryption, right?
Correct. Ultra is not required just to enforce encryption through passcode/security policies. The Enterprise plan includes those capabilities.
One thing to note: Hexnode may not show a separate field such as “Encryption status: Enabled” for every device. Instead, encryption enforcement is generally monitored through passcode compliance.
If a device does not have the required passcode configured, it can be marked non-compliant. The compliance section will show a warning or passcode-related compliance error based on the default or assigned compliance policy.
