Remote Assist app stuck at "No (installation initiated)" on macOSSolved

The Hexnode Remote Assist app is not showing as installed on a macOS device. On the device summary page, the Remote Assist app status says “No (installation initiated)”, but under Action History the install action shows “Success”. Has anyone seen this mismatch before? Does “Success” mean the app is actually installed, or is there another step needed to refresh the status?

Hello @liam_vance ,

This can happen when the install command has been processed successfully, but the device app inventory has not refreshed yet in the portal.

Try running an app inventory scan for the affected Mac:

  1. Go to Manage > Devices.
  2. Select the macOS device.
  3. Click Actions.
  4. Go to Scanning and Monitoring.
  5. Select Scan for apps.

Once the scan completes successfully, refresh the device summary page and check the Remote Assist app status again. The scan updates the app inventory reported by the device, which usually clears the “installation initiated” state if the app is already installed.
