A new member joined our IT team and needs access to our Hexnode portal. The portal account is currently under one admin, and the OTP for login goes to that admin’s email. Is there a way to create a separate user or sub-user so the new team member can log in without sharing credentials or OTPs?

Yes @jaxon_r. Hexnode supports creating independent administrative portal users called Technicians. Each technician can have their own login credentials, email address for OTP/2FA, and assigned permissions.

To add a new technician:

  1. Log in to the Hexnode UEM portal.
  2. Go to Admin > Technicians and Roles.
  3. Click Add Technician.
  4. Enter the team member’s details, such as name, email or username, and authentication settings.
  5. Select Assign Profile.
  6. Choose the required profile with limited permissions.
  7. Save the technician.

Once added, Hexnode sends an invitation email to the new technician. They can use it to set up their own account and receive OTPs directly at their own email address. Credential sharing is not required.
