Hexnode Audit Report Export Shows No Results When Filtering by TechnicianSolved

Hi everyone. I’m trying to review administrator activity in Hexnode UEM. I navigated to Reports > Audit Reports and tried exporting activity for the last 30 days. However, when I set the filter to Event Module = Technician, the exported report comes back completely empty.

What is the correct way to generate an audit report that includes all technician activity? Also, if I only want to check a single admin’s actions, should I be using a module filter or just searching by their email?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to Hexnode Connect!

The reason your export is turning up empty is that applying the Event Module = Technician filter narrows the search parameters too specifically, filtering out general administrative actions like policy changes, remote commands, and daily portal logins.

Here is the recommended approach to accurately capture this data:

1. To review all technician/admin activity:

Simply select your required date range (e.g., the last 30 days) and leave the Event Module filter blank. When you export, the report will include a complete audit history of all actions taken by all administrators during that timeframe.

2. To review a single technician’s activity:

Do not use the Event Module filter. Instead, either type the specific technician’s email address into the search bar on the Audit Reports page before exporting, or export the full, unfiltered report and sort the spreadsheet locally by their email address.

By keeping the module filter clear, you ensure no valid audit entries are accidentally excluded from your records.
