iPad missing from Devices but still listed in Apple Business Enrollment after deleting userSolved

I deleted a managed user that had an iPad attached to it. After that, the iPad disappeared from the managed Devices list, but it still shows under the Apple Business Enrollment section.

I checked the User unassigned filter under Manage, but there are no devices there. I also checked the Disenrollment Pending report, and it is not listed. The Hexnode UEM app is no longer on the iPad either.

Does this mean the iPad was removed from Hexnode? Is resetting it and setting it up again through ADE the correct way to get it back under managed devices?

Hello @_ashur ,

Yes, in this case the iPad was most likely disenrolled from Hexnode UEM.

The ADE tab indicates that the device is available through Apple Business/Automated Device Enrollment, but it does not necessarily mean the device is currently enrolled and managed in Hexnode UEM. A device appears under the managed Devices list only after enrollment is completed.

Since the device is not visible under Manage tab, Disenrollment Pending devices report and the Hexnode UEM app is no longer present on the iPad, the device is no longer actively enrolled.

To bring it back into the managed Devices list, reset the iPad and enroll it again through ADE. During Setup Assistant, the device should receive the MDM configuration from Apple Business and complete enrollment with Hexnode UEM. Once enrollment finishes, it should reappear under the managed Devices section.
