We currently use Apple Configurator on a Mac with Blueprints to prepare iPads before enrolling them in Hexnode. We’re trying to reduce the need to keep a MacBook around for every setup.
Is it possible to use Apple Configurator on an iPad as a “master” device to set up another iPad? If yes, can we transfer the existing Blueprint to that iPad, or would we need to recreate it somehow?

Apple Configurator on iPadOS can be used to add eligible iPhone and iPad devices to Apple Business. However, it does not support Apple Configurator Blueprints.
Blueprints are available only in Apple Configurator for macOS. The iPadOS version is a streamlined app intended for declaring/registering devices into Apple Business, not for importing or applying Blueprint-based configurations.
For a Hexnode-managed workflow, the recommended approach is:
With this approach, the Mac and Blueprint are not needed for normal automated enrollment and configuration. You would still need Apple Configurator on macOS if your workflow depends on local USB provisioning, offline app installation, or applying existing Mac-based Blueprints directly.
