Hello,
Thanks for reaching out to Hexnode Connect.
For supervised iOS devices, applying a wallpaper payload successfully sets the image, but it does not automatically lock it. To prevent users from modifying the wallpaper afterward, you need to configure a specific restriction.
Here is how to address both of your requirements:
1. Locking the Wallpaper
To stop users from changing the wallpaper, you can add a restriction directly to your existing policy:
- Open your wallpaper policy in the Hexnode portal.
- Navigate to Restrictions > Advanced restrictions.
- Disable the option that allows users to modify the wallpaper.
- Save the policy and allow it to sync with the devices.
Once this restriction lands on the devices, users will no longer be able to change the wallpaper you configured. (Note: This restriction requires supervision, which your ABM-enrolled devices already have).
2. Password Protecting Policies
Hexnode does not provide a per-policy password lock. Policy access and modification rights are controlled entirely through Hexnode portal technician accounts and their assigned roles. If you need to limit who can edit specific configurations, the recommended approach is to review and restrict your technician access and role permissions rather than adding a separate password to individual policies.
I hope this helps secure your device configurations! If you find any more issues or need further assistance, feel free to reach out.
Best regards,
George,
