iPad manual enrollment shows Hexnode app reinstall promptSolved

I’m trying to manually enroll an iPad in Hexnode, but the Hexnode UEM app keeps showing: “Please reinstall the app via Hexnode UEM portal. Contact your administrator for further assistance”. I reinstalled the app a few times, but the same message came back. This iPad is not being enrolled through Apple Business Manager/Automated Device Enrollment, and I don’t usually enroll devices manually, so I may be missing a step in the browser enrollment flow.

For a manually enrolled iPad, reinstalling the Hexnode UEM app is usually not the step that completes enrollment. Try using the browser-based enrollment flow instead:

  1. Open the Hexnode enrollment URL for your portal on the iPad.
  2. Tap Enroll.
  3. When iOS prompts to download the management profile, tap Allow.
  4. Open Settings and install/approve the downloaded management profile if prompted.

The important part is allowing the downloaded MDM profile. If that prompt is dismissed or not approved, the iPad will not complete enrollment even if the Hexnode UEM app is reinstalled multiple times.
