iPhone ADE enrollment profile reassigned but Remote Management screen does not appearSolved

I reassigned an ADE enrollment profile to an iPhone in Hexnode and clicked Sync with ADE. The sync status changed to initiated, but I’m not sure if that means the device is enrolled. The iPhone is already on the home screen, and I don’t see the Remote Management screen during normal use. Do I need to do anything else for the new ADE profile to apply?

For ADE-enrolled iPhones, assigning or changing the enrollment profile in Hexnode and running Sync with ADE updates the profile assignment with Apple Business Manager. However, an iPhone that has already completed setup and is sitting on the home screen will not automatically pull down the updated ADE profile.

To trigger ADE enrollment after reassigning the profile:

1. In Hexnode, select the device from the ADE devices list.

2. Use Associate Enrollment Profile and assign the required enrollment profile.

3. Click Sync with ADE to push the updated assignment to Apple Business Manager.

4. On the iPhone, go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone.

5. Tap Erase All Content and Settings.

6. After the device restarts to the Hello screen, proceed through the Apple setup assistant.

7. Connect the device to Wi-Fi during setup.

Once the device contacts Apple’s activation servers, it should detect the assigned ADE profile and show the Remote Management screen. Complete the prompts on that screen to finish enrollment into Hexnode.

The Sync with ADE status only confirms that the profile assignment sync has been initiated from Hexnode. The device enrollment itself is completed only after the iPhone is erased and goes through setup again with the Remote Management screen.
