Is it possible to silently deploy apps to managed iOS devices through Hexnode? We do not want users signing in with personal Apple IDs on the devices, so I’m trying to understand the correct setup for installing apps without user interaction.

Yes @matteo, silent app installation is supported on iOS devices when the following conditions are met:
For environments where users are not allowed to sign in with personal Apple IDs, Apple Business is the recommended approach. You can acquire app licenses in Apple Business, sync the VPP token with Hexnode, and then deploy the apps to supervised iOS devices through Hexnode.
Once the VPP apps are assigned through Hexnode, they can be installed silently without requiring the end user to enter an Apple ID.

So if the devices don’t have any Apple ID signed in, we need Apple Business mainly to get the VPP app licenses, right?
Correct. Apple Business is required to obtain and manage the VPP licenses. After the VPP token is added to Hexnode and the apps are synced, Hexnode can assign those app licenses and push the apps silently to supervised iOS devices.
Without VPP licenses, iOS app installation usually depends on Apple ID-based app ownership, which can require user interaction.
