Hi @skylar-a,
Hexnode cannot directly remove a jailbreak with a dedicated “unjailbreak” command. A jailbreak modifies or bypasses core iOS security restrictions, so the recommended way to return the device to a secure state is to perform a full device wipe.
To wipe the iPad from the Hexnode console:
- Go to the Manage tab, and open the affected iPad.
- Select Actions > Security > Wipe Device.
- Enter the Hexnode portal password to confirm the action.
If the iPad is online and communicating with Hexnode, the wipe command should be applied immediately. This erases the device completely and restores it to a factory-default state, which removes the jailbreak along with all device data, apps, and settings.
After the wipe, the device may need to be enrolled again depending on how it was originally set up. If it was enrolled through an automated/supervised enrollment workflow, it may return to management during setup. If it was enrolled manually, you should plan to re-enroll it after the erase. If you are not ready to lose the data on the iPad, do not trigger the wipe yet. Back up or recover anything needed first, if possible.
Regards,
Sienna Carter
