I’m enrolling a batch of identical Android tablets in Hexnode and they all look the same in the device list. Is there a way to change the device name or set a friendly name so each tablet is easier to identify?

Hello @yasmin_farooq ,

Yes. You can rename an enrolled Android device or set a friendly name from the Hexnode portal.

To do this:

  1. Go to Manage > Devices.
  2. Select the Android device you want to rename.
  3. Click the device name shown near the top-left of the device details page.
  4.  Edit the name and save the change.

Alternatively, from the device details page, you can use Actions > Edit > Rename device to update the device name or friendly name.

This is useful when multiple enrolled tablets have the same model name and need to be identified separately in the portal.

That worked. I was able to open each tablet from Manage and rename it from the device details page. Much easier to tell them apart now.
