Hi all. A quick question regarding a Honeywell CT70 device I recently enrolled. If the device gets locked because of multiple failed password attempts, is there any way to remove that lock from the Hexnode portal?
Can a locked Honeywell CT70 device be unlocked from Hexnode?Solved

Yes, you can try the Clear Password action from the device actions menu in Hexnode.
You can navigate to:
Manage > Devices > Select the device > Actions > Security > Clear Password
This action clears the device password so you can access the device again.

Got it. Just wanted to confirm, this removes the password itself right? Not just the temporary lock?
Yes. It clears the existing device password, which should allow you to unlock the device.

I tried that on our production device, but it’s asking me to enroll the device into Android Enterprise. Looks like the action didn’t go through.
Could you please let me know how the device was enrolled into Hexnode?

The users enrolled the device by downloading the Hexnode app from Google Play and scanning the QR code.
Thanks for confirming @it_christo . In that case, the device appears to be enrolled as a Generic Android device rather than Android Enterprise.
For Generic Android enrollments, the Clear Password action is unfortunately not supported, so the command cannot be pushed successfully to the device.

We faced a similar issue with a few rugged Android devices in our warehouse setup. The Clear Password action started working only after the devices were re-enrolled under Android Enterprise.
