Hi everyone, I’m trying to enroll 2 new iOS devices via ADE into my device fleet, but I can’t seem to do that. I’m fairly certain there’s still available space for enrollment in the portal, so I’m not sure what’s blocking it. Any ideas?

Hi @harold, if you’re not 100% sure about the available slots, I’d suggest removing any inactive devices from the fleet. That should free up space if that’s the issue.
Thanks, that was a good suggestion. I went ahead and disenrolled all inactive devices, but unfortunately the issue still persists.
You could try switching to a different network and also using an incognito/private browser window. I have seen enrollment issues caused by cached sessions or network restrictions.
Interesting update, that actually helped! I was able to add the devices, but now it’s stuck in “Scanning in progress”, and no policies are being applied to it. Has anyone seen this before?
Hi,
When an iOS device is stuck in “Scanning in progress”, it’s often related to one of the following:
- A temporary or unstable network connection on the device
- A delay or sync issue with Apple VPP servers
Please verify the device’s network connectivity first. If the network looks fine, this is usually a temporary backend delay and should resolve itself shortly. If the issue continues, feel free to follow up with logs or screenshots.

Thanks, I’ll update if anything comes up.
