I have seen a couple of restrictions for hotspot in Hexnode, but is there any android restriction in the policy where the device hotspot turns off when no device is connected for a period of time? It would have been nice if there was a way.

I am not sure if that is possible. I know some Android phones have an option called “turn off hotspot automatically,” but this is not available on every device. Because of that, I am not sure how feasible it is from the Mdm side.

As of now, we do not provide any restriction that turns off the hotspot when no device is connected for a period of time. We do offer restrictions to allow or disallow configuring hotspot and tethering settings, or to set the hotspot SSID, but I believe you have already checked those.
