Help!! I can’t seem to block the Phone app in iPads running the iPadOS 26 version. Is it possible to block the phone app in my enrolled iPads through Hexnode?

@leo_scott , not to worry, my friend, I’ve encountered this dilemma as well a while ago. You can use the iMazing profile editor to create a configuration file for your iPad. In the configuration file, under the Restrictions section, you can find the payload (Blocked apps, if I haven’t forgotten) for blocking applications. Over here, you can simply search for the Phone app and add it to the list of apps to be blocked. Then, simply save the configuration file and push it to your iPad devices.
Deploying this config file will hide the Phone app on the devices.
@jennifer , that’s the right way, but I’m afraid you’ve missed an important point. The iPad devices must be supervised for the Blocked apps function to work on them. @leo_scott , just keep this in mind while you are creating the configuration file. Only then can the phone app be blocked successfully using the config file.
Wow, I can’t believe I missed that fact. Thanks for pointing that out @ryanmoore .
Thank you so much for your help, @jennifer , @ryanmoore . Could you please confirm if this task can be accomplished via the Blocklist app feature for iOS in Hexnode?
@leo_scott , no, I don’t think you can block the Phone app through the blocklist feature in Hexnode. As far as I know, when it comes to system apps like Phone and Settings in iOS and iPadOS devices, the blocklist feature in Hexnode will not work.
By the way, Hexnode’s got the deploy configuration file feature for pushing the file configured across all your iPads at once. It will save you the trouble of manually deploying the config file to each device.
Okay, thanks for clarifying that, @ryanmoore.
