The UEM application App Catalog is aware of the software being installed, and is aware of the current version of software. It would be nice if there was a button that could be clicked in the App Catalog that would allow you to update the software. I spoke with support today and their recommendation was to uninstall the software and then reinstall it, or push the software out from the HexNode portal. This is not a practical approach. Again, it would be nice for the UEM desktop application to show an update button when there is an update to software. We are primarily a Mac shop, but I could see this being useful with Windows machiens as well.

At the moment, the only way to update an app through the Hexnode App Catalog is by uninstalling and reinstalling it, or by pushing the latest version from the Hexnode portal. We understand this may not be the most convenient approach, so we’ll raise your request for an in-app “Update” option with our product team. It’ll be reviewed based on priority and overall demand, and we’ll make sure to keep you posted if there’s any progress on this feature.
