We manage company-owned supervised iPads and need reliable location tracking from Hexnode. Does the Hexnode UEM app need Location Services set to Always for tracking to work? More importantly, is there a way to stop users from disabling Location Services or changing Screen Time restrictions afterward?

For regular background location tracking on iPads, iOS requires Location Services to be enabled, and the Hexnode UEM app must have its location permission set to Always.
To prevent users from modifying Screen Time restrictions themselves, the iPad must be supervised, and the MDM restriction to block modification of these settings must be applied.
In Hexnode UEM, this is configured from an iOS policy under Restrictions > Advanced Restrictions > Allow Security and Privacy Settings > Modify Restrictions/Screen Time.
Disable Modify Restrictions/Screen Time and assign the policy to the supervised iPads. Once applied, users cannot modify the Screen Time restriction settings directly from the device.
If Advanced Restrictions are not available in your subscription, Hexnode UEM cannot fully block users from changing Screen Time restrictions through a policy.
