Kiosk lockdown policy conflict after assigning user policy to tabletSolved

I created a separate kiosk lockdown policy for one Android tablet, but the device was already associated with a user that had a different policy assigned. Now it looks like both policies are applying and the configurations are conflicting on the tablet. I want this tablet to use the dedicated kiosk policy only, so I’m trying to change the device owner to a different user, but I can’t find the Change Owner option from the device page.

When a device receives multiple policies with conflicting configurations, the conflicting association should be removed or adjusted. In this case, changing the device owner to the intended user is a valid way to ensure the device receives the correct user-based policy. To change the owner of a device:

  1. Go to Manage > Devices.
  2. Do not open the device details page.
  3. Select the checkbox next to the device from the device list.
  4. Click Actions.
  5. Go to Edit > Change Owner.
  6. Search for and select the required user.
  7. Assign the user.

After the owner is changed, the policies associated with the new user should apply to the device, and the previous user-based policy conflict should no longer affect it.

That was the part I missed. I was clicking the device name first and then opening Actions from inside the device page. In that view I only saw Edit Device Attributes, not Change Owner.
