In the Kiosk mode admins can send messages to the device. however, messages cannot be sent from the device to admins.

If you add a way for the end-device / users to send messages to the admins. this would allow end-users to report issues or fault directly to the admins. (see below)

Hi James,

Hope you are doing well,

We would like to thank you for your suggestion and we shall put this forward to the team concerned so that they can look into the feasibility of this feature. If found feasible, we shall proceed to have a feature request raised on your behalf and keep you in the loop with the updates.

For the time being, as a work around, you could have the users send messages to the portal by making use of location notes. First, this option would have to be enabled while in kiosk mode. You can get this done by navigating to Policy > Kiosk lockdown > Android > Peripheral settings > Users can add location notes. Please ensure that this option is ticked.

This way, while a user is in kiosk mode, they would be able to send the location to the portal, and along with this, they can add the required messages as location notes. The admin would be able to find these options from the portal by navigating to Reports > Location reports > Location history. From here, you could click on the pencil icon and ensure that the option for location notes is ticked. Once this is done, you would be able to view the notes sent from the device in the portal.

Please do try out this workaround in the meantime.

Cheers!
