iOS ADE device not showing in Manage after ABM sync and missing Actions menu itemsSolved

I assigned an iPhone in Apple Business Manager and ran the ADE sync in Hexnode. The device shows up under the Enroll tab in the Apple Business/ADE list, but it does not appear under Manage > Devices even after refreshing. The ADE profile looks assigned, so I’m not sure what step I’m missing. Also, in the Manage tab, the Actions dropdown looks different from what I remember. I only see a few groups like Recent Actions, Scanning and Monitoring, Device Control, Security, and Updates. Some options, such as Edit, only appear if I search for them, and it feels like many actions are missing. I’m using a super admin account, so I don’t think it’s a role permission issue.

For ADE enrollment, syncing the device from Apple Business Manager only makes the device available for enrollment in Hexnode. It will not appear in Manage > Devices until the device completes the actual enrollment process.

To make the iOS device show in the Manage tab:

1. Confirm that the ADE profile is assigned to the device in Hexnode.

2. Factory reset or erase the iOS device.

3. Turn on the device and proceed through Apple Setup Assistant.

4. Connect the device to a network during setup.

5. Continue through the Remote Management screen so the device can pull the assigned ADE configuration.

Once enrollment completes, the device should populate under Manage > Devices.

For the Actions menu, the options are not hidden due to super admin permissions. The Actions menu is scrollable. Hover over the Actions dropdown and scroll down using the mouse wheel or trackpad to view the rest of the available actions. Searching filters the menu, so clearing the search and scrolling through the dropdown is usually the easiest way to access the full list.
