We are excited to announce a significant enhancement to the Policy Reports module, designed to provide IT admins with total visibility into policy deployment outcomes. Moving beyond simple count-based tracking, this update introduces actionable, real-time diagnostic insights directly into your management console.

Managing policies across thousands of endpoints should never involve guesswork. Previously, the Policy Report only indicated total device counts rather than actual deployment outcomes. This update transforms that static report into an actionable diagnostic tool, giving you complete visibility into exactly how your security and configuration policies are executing across your fleet.

Key Features & Capabilities

  • Policy-Level Status Overview: The main policy list dashboard now features a Status column. At a glance, you can see if a deployment is a Success (100% applied), Failed (100% failure), Partially Successful (a mix of success, pending, or failed), or Unassociated.

  • Interactive Device Modal: Clicking the device count link opens a detailed popup modal. This provides a granular, device-by-device view of the deployment, showing individual execution states and the timing of the last update.

  • Contextual Failure Remarks: Say goodbye to digging through raw, messy device logs. Failed statuses now feature an “Info” callout icon. Hovering or clicking this icon reveals clear, real-time error remarks directly from the execution logs (e.g., “Script execution timeout” or “Insufficient disk space”).

  • Two-Tiered Filtering:

    • Main Dashboard: Filter your entire policy list by high-level status to quickly isolate problematic deployments.

    • Device Modal: Once inside a policy’s device list, narrow down results by specific execution states (In ProgressCancelledPending) to streamline your troubleshooting.

  • Audit-Ready Exports: Your compliance audits just got easier. All new status and reason fields are fully supported in both CSV and PDF report exports.

Why This Matters

  • Eliminate the Needle-in-a-Haystack Search: Drastically reduce the time spent manually correlating device logs from hours to seconds.

  • Proactive Security: Instantly identify why a critical policy (like disk encryption) failed to deploy on specific endpoints and remediate the issue before security gaps widen.

  • Targeted Troubleshooting: Easily isolate “Partially Successful” scenarios so your IT team can focus their energy exactly where it is needed.

Ready to take the guesswork out of your deployments? Head over to your Reports tab to see these new insights in action and start troubleshooting in seconds, not hours.
