I need to remove Hexnode from a work-managed device. I have the work account details, but I’m not sure whether I’m considered a technician/admin in the Hexnode portal. What is the correct way to remove the device from Hexnode?

Thanks for raising this question.

If you are an administrator or technician with access to the Hexnode portal, you can remove the device by disenrolling it.

Steps:

1. Log in to the Hexnode UEM.

2. Go to Manage.

3. Select the device you want to remove.

4. Click Actions.

5. Choose Disenroll Device.

This removes the device from Hexnode management. If you do not have technician or administrator permissions, you will need to contact your organization’s Hexnode admin to perform the disenrollment.

So having the work account ID or knowing the portal name isn’t enough by itself?

The device can only be disenrolled from the Hexnode portal by a user with the required admin or technician privileges. If you are just the device user, the organization’s Hexnode administrator has to remove the device for you.
