Is there a way to ping the location of an iPad after putting it into Lost Mode from Hexnode? I can see the device is marked as lost, but I want to know if I can manually fetch its current location instead of waiting for the portal to update.

Hello @arthur ,
Yes. When an iPad is placed in Lost Mode, Hexnode UEM can track its location and update it in the portal.
To manually fetch the latest location:
You can view the reported location from the device details page under the Location History tab. You can also use Map View to check the device position.
The iPad must be powered on and connected to the internet through Wi-Fi or cellular data for the location to be reported successfully. If the device is offline, the location will not update until it reconnects.

Does Scan Device Location work like an instant live ping, or does it only show the last known location?
Scan Device Location sends a request to fetch the current device location. If the iPad is online and able to respond, the portal updates with the latest location.
If the iPad is switched off, out of coverage, or not connected to the internet, Hexnode can only show the last reported location in Location History. Once the iPad comes back online, the location can update again while Lost Mode is active.
