Export list of applications that includes devicesSolved

If I have an update to a piece of software, I want to be able to determine which devices have the software and which version each device has so that I can get an idea of how many need to be updated as well as determine which computers to “pilot” the new software on. Right now, I can get a list of the versions of the software, but then I have to manually go thru the report and copy/paste it to get the data in one place. While I can generate a report of all software and it tells me how many devices have each version, when I export, it doesn’t give me any more data – so I have to do the work I want manually.

I hate that. Please fix it.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your valuable ideas. We truly appreciate your input.

Could you please clarify what you meant by ‘more data’ and the ‘work’ you’re referring to? From our understanding, it seems you are looking to export a report that provides a detailed list of devices with a specific version of a software application installed. If that’s the case, this can be achieved using the built-in application reports available in the Hexnode console.

To generate the report:

  1. Log in to your Hexnode UEM console.
  2. Navigate to Reports > Built-in Reports > Application > All Applications.
  3. Select the desired application(s).
  4. Click on the Export drop-down and choose the preferred file format under Device list of selected apps.
  5. The report will be available under Reports > Exports.

Once downloaded, the report will provide a detailed list of all devices that have a specific version of the selected software (application) installed.

The report includes important details such as the device name, assigned username, operating system, OS version, and device serial number.

We hope this meets your requirements. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us. We are always happy to help.

Best regards,
George

OK, so that’s what I’m looking for – but wasn’t super clear how to do that in the first place.

I will fiddle around with things more before I submit a “ideation” next time.
